To clarify: I want both. I only buy laptops with barrel jack and USB-C. The same with mini PCs. It is OK for travelling. But my portable USB-C monitors randomly switch off for power renegotiation! USB-C is not so great for stationary use. I

If you work as a contractor in EU, you absolutely need multiple clients. Single client sets many red flags in tax office, and should be avoided.

Not really. I can visit conferences, apply for new gigs, market research... There are limits, but if you are not greedy, it is perfectly fine. Bringing gf, renting cars, beach stay... would ruin it.

Those requests are still relatively OK. But Win11 has buildin keylogger, ads and all sort of nasty stuff. It can also be auto reinstalled to Windows 12 anytime. At this point it is basically a malware, and should be kept in sandboxed enviro

Technically I still live with my parents, but one of my clients requires me to maintain office 300km away. There is no trick, I asked at tax office if that would be OK.

Many programmers prefer hourly pay over proper employment. As contractor, I can put hardware, my rent, and leisure travel into expenses. Real taxation is 15% versus 45%. I can have multiple clients...

I seen some drones in Africa delivering small packages into remote villages, mostly medication. It is small RC airplane (not quad copter), dropping parashutes on an airfield. It replaced much bigger Cesnas. And drone delivery is quite succ

It is question of motivation. Motivation uses logical forebrain, best way is to take thinking out of equation. - marshmallow test is invalid, if kids do not trust adult. It would not work on kids from rough neighbourhood, who would get seco

Here is the quote you want: For this reason, the aircraft exterior coating, panels, seams, are inspected after each flight, to look for anything that might affect the jet's stealthiness, identifying any damage or scratches. Removing s

Honestly, I would just prefer good S300 system. At Ukraine it covered sky for almost a year. Jet fighters for air superiority are obsolete.

Different stealth airplanes. Some documentaries that celebrate Raptor and F35 as technical marvel (highly complex). I have not really observed any maintenance difference or break throughout between F22 and F35. And nobody really provided an
