Ah, the holy grail, unbiased journalistic analysis! Which unfortunately is impossible.

Chances are they indulge in risky activities on their free time. Especially the guys on the ground. At least in Norway the voluntary alpine rescue groups where born directly from the climbing community.

FYI: A so called "normal flu" is usually not a flu, just a bad cold. If you get the flu it's normally a lot worse than bad cold.

I might be biased, but I really like the one the crew on Statsraad Lehmkuhl sings when the ship sails into it's home port of Bergen [0]. I believe it's based on the old shanty "South Australia" but they've changed t

Interesting. I believe this would be illegal in my country (Norway). There's often only one union, but membership is entirely voluntary (and you don't have to pay fees if you are not a member). I think the only trade where members

Fairly similar in Norway, but many of the "competing" unions both have agreements with the employer organization. My wife actually switched union because the other union had an agreement which allowed a certain type of shift sched

How can the union stop the employer from hiring non-unionized workers?

Sorry, but are teachers employed by the union who then sells the teachers labor to the school? Or do I misunderstand?

These huge Internet companies really should be regulated. Last weeks we've seen these companies, Amazon, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Apple act like governing bodies by banning Donald Trump from their platforms and essentially shut down

My daughter cycled or walked to school since she was around 7, but a lot of children are driven to school by their parents. So many actually that the school had to construct a drop-off zone. I'm not entirely sure when it started or why

For some reason I have seen a vide of the shooting and it looks like the person shooting is in a suite? Is it normal that police officers wear a suite?

I'm pretty sure security would have been a bit higher even in Brussels if armed nazis with a history of breaking into legislative chambers declared they would "march on the court house".

I think this is something that only happens in the US. I've never heard of a union being a supplier of labor anywhere else.

I don't think sexualized media makes people more horny, but it can alter young peoples expectations of sex and possibly adults fantasies/sexuality.

France and ESA has a space port in French Guiana where at least Ariane is doing commercial launches. When launching to space you would want to launch to the east to get assistance from the earth rotation. You would want to launch over ocean

If you look at Norway where EV's account for close to 50% of new car sales you'll find that Tesla is not outselling anyone. Most sold EV this year was the Audi e-tron, followed by VW e-golf. Tesla M3 on 5th place. Tesla has the be

Whaling is much more humane than industrialized animal farming.

Even IWC says on their website that current catch rates are not a threat to whale populations. Fisheries (bycatch/entanglement) are a much bigger threat.

In Norway we are currently building bridges and tunnels to a few islands with less than 3000 inhabitants for more than double the price of this Faroe project. :-)
