Flash memory has considerably better read/write speeds. It can also be read electronically instead of chemically. I don't think it makes sense to compare them.

Rape is a regular thing for ducks to the point where males and females have evolved weird reproductive organs in some sort of evolutionary arms race. Bed bugs practice what is known as 'traumatic insemination', where the male lite

Do you really want prison guards to get used to firing (to kill) on inmates? Besides, I imagine/hope that most of them wouldn't want to. Let's take inspiration from George R.R. Martin and have the judge who imposed the death

If you want to do the 'scientific arguments' thing, then surely it is up to the EMH proponents to convince the rest of us, while the rest of us stick to the null hypothesis.

As far as I'm aware male fertility decreases a bit with age, but there's no such thing as menopause and ovulation for men. So I doubt there is as much of a market for a male version. Besides, our male egos are way too fragile to r

What does "fairness in statistics" even mean? Perhaps there is a very obvious definition that I don't know about? Would you please define it for me, and (if this is non-obvious) explain how it relates to the school choice pro

Fairness is absolutely a subjective concept. E.g. in the context of school choice, which is fair? Let's say there are 20 students applying to a school, and there are 10 spots available. a) All students applying to the school have the s

We keep getting back to the actuators. If the birds would "design" a human being with the intention to keep it in a cage, why would they provide functional arms and legs? Don't imagine a fit human being. Imagine Stephen Hawki

The terminator is incredibly strong and could easily break out of a wooden cage. Like I said, don't give it powerful actuators. A more reasonable approximation would be a terminator head locked in a big metal cage. It might be incredib

You could just not include any network capability, put them in a Faraday cage, and don't provide them with actuators capable of breaking out. Tada, a safe sandbox. That said, there is no reason to believe an AGI would have a desire to
