Here in the Netherlands Jaap van Dissel (who holds a similar position to your Robert Redfield) remains unconvinced of the effectiveness of non-medical masks and argues they may do more harm than good. But admitting to trusting his expertise

GCC is written in C++ these days, and LLVM has always been C++. Perhaps some languages are written in C, but C itself hasn't been for some time, if you look at the most popular compilers.

Just about all music you can find online is copyrighted. I think you mean that it applies the protection only to music where the copyright is held by a large organization.

Surely you could do more damage with a small explosive device than a large helium balloon and some wire, and maybe lightning will strike? The attack you suggest sounds like something a comic book villain might do. It speaks to the imagina

I am a big fan of DI, but you can often get a lot of useful unit testing done when you try and keep I/O mostly seperate from the rest of the code. If you have ever programmed in Haskell you will know what I mean.

Virusses mutate all the time. What if a normal flu virus mutates and kills us all? There is no reason to believe that covid is more likely to become more lethal compared to any other type of virus.

How would that happen, exactly? If you were to have my bank account number you could give me money, but you couldn't just take it out. It's not like a credit card number.

One might argue that by putting a male and a female dog together, both of them fertile, there is a clear intent for them to (eventually) reproduce. When the puppies are born you can throw your hands up in the air and pretend to be surprised

The hypothetical company holding the patent will argue that they are suffering financial damage, so they are losing something. I think the dogs are a bit of a red herring here, drug patents are generally accepted by most of society, and it&

Where would these extra 32 bits come from? This simple IPv4.1 would still require all networking hardware and software to be updated. The protocol would also not be backwards compatible and people would still want dual stack. I imagine adop

Cows can walk minutes after they are born. I guess they're even smarter. You might argue that the walking calf is not intelligent because it came preprogrammed to walk, but human babies will reflexively start making stepping movements

I think it is perhaps interesting to compare to photography. There a human picks the initial parameters (position, angle, lens, time of day), presses a button, and then the camera (a device) does all the work. It is not controversial that p

There was a chance this miscompilation would not have been found until after the release of clang 11. Surely both the clang and sqlite developers benefit from people trying pre-release versions and reporting bugs?

Is the difference in size really significant? When the files are small it doesn't matter much, and when they are large you can throw some compression in the mix. I've never heard filesize as an argument for json before.
