I believe the more common way to do monitors is to have tiny red, green, and blue dots make up the rectangles. These dots, I am led to believe, are circular.

Seems more of a "I want to do this thing, therefore if I do it, I'll feel slightly better" sort of thing. I mean, people get accustomed to cussing. I sure feel better when I get the urge to do it and can actually do it.

Your site is very, very visually busy. Can you reduce the clutter? This includes the app itself. Maybe you could widen the content area, encroaching upon the whitespace.

Something that I haven't seen mentioned: working a day job and living extremely frugally for a coupla years, then using the savings to fund your venture. You've already started your company, but perhaps it would be better in the long run to

Perhaps some definition of terms may be in order, given that some may not know that unemployment means those who don't work but do want to work. Stay-at-home moms, for example, would not be unemployed.

Nah, man, not when you want people to want to do the work. That's the point of the article - people want loot, not killing the same monster over and over. Likewise, if you give people rewards, they'll want the reward, but they won't produ

Considering the biologist in this thread disagrees with you, you may want to tone down your arrogance. Also, I do not think you could kill me with a rock, unless I were sleeping and you were dropping it from excessive height.

There was a discussion yesterday about the 'typical startup founder'. Newell may be closer to the 'typical' one, given that most startups are run by people with experience and money from their previous jobs.

What exactly are you saying? I'm saying the pyschology behind that title makes it more likely to sell. The person who wouldn't want to read it is not a "smart person"; hence an idiot. That's what the title says.

The difference is that users aren't sharing data with each other, but rather companies are providing services by giving you data. And a file is just a way to store a database in order to interface with the OS, not the way records themselves
