I think that certainly comes into it. Seems perverse to take the money you make from sales and give a cut of it to your competitor, who can then reduce the prices in their own store.

The NY subway is also able to run 24/7 because of redundancies in routes, so they can perform maintenance without the subway stopping. London doesn't have this option.

Why doesn't he create a company with 100 shares that owns the house, transfer the house into the companies ownership, then just sell shares in the company? I don't understand: - How someone would value the 'tokens' he is

If you don't quit, maybe you'll never start the next thing that will succeed. A blind 'just work harder' ethic doesn't necessarily mean success. It's such crap to say that everyone who never quits succeeds. N

I believe that's naive. There is always a non-zero chance that deploying new code will cause an issue that is not covered by your unit tests or integration tests. Good testing methodology means adding to your tests when you find such

How would you keep the index up to date? How quickly would news stories appear in it and stale links disappear? Are you going to read the entire internet every day to keep it current?

Reducing costs has a large effect on profits. If your profit margin is 5% then reducing costs by 10% triples your margin.
