Maybe, though streaming seems to me like more of a form of free marketing for these publishers than anything. Watching a game being played several times over will probably turn into a sale for a lot of people (though not everyone). If you h

Our company recently did a trial of looking for unconscious bias when we are making decisions, especially in terms of hiring practices. We all took a test to see if we had any unconscious bias toward gender and then discussed our results as

I can see the huge cost savings from doing it this way, you can print far smaller textbooks that aren't loaded with questions, you can grade assignments much more quickly and have one teacher do more subjects or classes. I don't k

You should try the Go game. It may have some lasting power I haven't seen yet, but its not the normal Pokemon game by any stretch. The core gameplay is actually pretty boring once you've done it for a little while (i.e. once the i

So I had an observation about AWS scripting that I'd like to share. I've been working on some AWS scripts lately for both personal projects and stuff we deploy at work, which means that I often use 2 sets of credentials. A lot of

This isn't so much an article as it is an excerpt from a book that is linked at the bottom. If you are looking for a pithy expose on the link between slavery, iPhones and environmentalism, you won't find it here, but the book does

Huh, haven't noticed that yet. This re-brand is so thoroughly weird in every way you could imagine. The original Uber site that I remember had a mark of professionalism and gave me a luxury limo vibe (though I knew it was just people&#

The alternative is to change a majority of people's minds that this is something morally wrong with the world, make cases to supreme court and/or lobby congress and eventually turn the tide in your favor. Not really sure which way

I love that github reads the .ipynb files natively. So I just began using Jupyter for my own note taking on an EC2 free tier server, really loving it. Granted, I don't really do any data science stuff, but the wiki markup + the ability
