There's a good argument to be made around helping local economies with this as well. Part of auto's impact during the 20th century was creating all these small businesses of car dealers, auto repair shops, oil change stations, gas

There was no silence around it. The images were shown very readily and commented on openly. "Silence" apparently is a very squishy term, the media showed images of violence and unrest during the summer just as much as they did wit

The context around a lot of riots from the summer sits in my head pretty heavily. I don't like seeing rioting and vandalism as much as the next person, but I also recognize where it came from. I'm having a tough time reconciling t

Whoa are you arguing that armed people DIDN'T storm the capitol? They were indeed armed and yes it was televised. Your inability to see what's in front of you willingly doesn't cause rest of us to be blind.

Do we placate them by refusing to acknowledge an obvious win? I'm sorry but it went way too far. The president and everyone who went along with his BS were writing checks they couldn't cash and so their followers go all worked up

No one is saying there's zero fraud, it happens every election on very small scales, but its only ever at the scale to affect elections that are within a few hundred votes. None of the states were anything close to that.

Also the main argument this group was making for the last 2 months was to disenfranchise much of the US voting population. The people voted, and this group attempted to say it wasn't legitimate. They proved nothing in court to their cl

Food for thought in this discussion: there are chemical battlefields from WWI that were thought to be largely inhabitable by any lifeform that have slowly but surely been retaken by nature. The trenches and craters created by mortars and la

The CO2 part is easier to predict than nature's response, it's also the part that we humans have more control over. Part of the problem with assuming nature will do its thing is that it could take much longer for nature to sort ou
