I'd have to say the developer tools are comparable to Firebug and won't freeze Chrome the way Firebug periodically freezes Firefox.

Immediately quotations from Spiderman ("With great power comes great responsiblity") and Jurassic Park ("Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.") come to mind.

Maybe you should try Readability: http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/ . I do notice the trend as well, and I think I have my resolution set pretty high compared to the average user. I wonder what they think.

Interesting that this correlates with my experience as well. I moved from New England down to North Carolina and the difference in alcohol intake (and religion for that matter) is truly startling.

This is really informative. Being able to edit the examples like that reminds me of the W3c site on crack :). It's silly but I think the colors and fonts have something to do with it. One thing though, on Chrome (Mac 5.0.342.9 Beta), inte

Anyone tried Grooveshark ( http://listen.grooveshark.com )? I know it's in Flash but on first glance it seems to be a combination of Lala and Slacker.

I think this was pretty obvious once Facebook totally revamped their privacy settings and set the defaults to be as public as possible.

AOL -> ICQ -> AIM/Yahoo -> Gaim -> Pidgin It's amazing how little things have changed on the instant messenger side since I started using AIM. I will forever associate ICQ with that silly Uh Oh! sound when you received a mes

If that were true, what does that say about our society? I don't agree anyway considering geeky engineers are responsible for a lot of what's changed our society significantly in the last ten years.

Facebook is just gathering as much information as they can so they can give it to advertisers. I don't quite understand why people have to share some of the stuff they do on facebook and find that far creepier.

What's the point of participating in a community when you don't care what others think? Seems pretty pointless to me.

Your own personal experience with Facebook just isn't relevant when comparing it to 400-500 million people. I've seen comments on here that people doubt Facebook is as strong as it is. For young adults Facebook is synonymous with the Inter

Yeah I noticed the spelling mistakes that were interspersed throughout the post. Not very professional. Perhaps English isn't the author's first language.

You mean the fact they store your password in their database as plaintext? Yeah kinda scary to be honest.

Yeah I agree, I'm just saying that sometimes companies make the DRM so restrictive to prevent people from buying that they can anger people. That Assassin's Creed 2 PC mess is a good example of bad DRM.

It's a reactionary move precipitated by the hacking done by that geohat guy. A lot of gaming companies think that by making a console pirate proof (which the PS3 has been so far) saves them money in the long run. Look at the whole Ubisoft

Considering games like fl0wer were made with the PhyreEngine, awesome game by the way, I don't think this is really going to be an issue. I doubt most gaming companies were using the OtherOS feature in order to learn how to program on the P

Well in all fairness, you have the option not to upgrade to 3.21 if it really means that much to you. I think a lot of this is blowing in the wind. I'm sure most people don't even know that you can install Linux on the PS3. Plus the RAM

I'd rather have one place to do all this stuff in. Having Facebook, Twitter and this seems like overkill. I guess I better hope everyone finally figures out which one they prefer :)

Well I own a 360 and a PS3. PS3 online is free, 360 is not. The differences aren't big enough for me to think that 35-50 bucks a year is worth it. And note, most non-MMORPGs games on PC have free online.

Sony may have copied some of the more successful features of the Xbox 360, but I'm going to disagree that the Xbox line has redefined the console gaming experience. It's redefined each generation. This generation is about motion controls a

I don't agree with it, but that's not the issue. Your comment wasn't worthwhile. You're arguing ad hominem and haven't even backed up your silly point still and it's four or five comments later. Flipping it over on me doesn't change the f

And like I said before, your comment was poor. You said it was the new swine flu when it's been around far longer. It was disingenuous and apparently calling you on it is a no no; so be it.

I always thought that global warming was a subset of climate change. The fact that the title of the article included climate change made me puzzled as to why global warming was used.
