We are seeing all the other outcomes and branches too, we just aren't aware of it since those are separate universes.

What is the point of such a theory besides trying to relieve us from the uncomfortable idea of many worlds? It is no better at explaining our perceived world than the simpler theory that consciousness exists across all these states and we a

Looks pretty readable to me. 4 explicit columns, the first is width auto, second 40px, third takes up any remaining space, 4th is 80px. How would this be any more readable with tags or table setup? Especially if you want to have additional

It really depends on what colors you are using in the gradient. In some cases LCH or others looks a lot better than RGB or HSL: https://res.cloudinary.com/indysigner/image/fetch/f_auto,q_8...

I fall into the same trap. We want Visible to be somewhere you create pages that are genuinely useful, not just info dumps. Millions of young people now use Notion to organize their lives, but as you can see from their marketing page it is

I totally understand and sympathize with that feeling which is not uncommon here on Hacker News, but when I speak to the average internet user they do care about privacy, they just don't have the same anxiety over cloud services. We ar

Definitely targeting a different core user, although I think the simplicity and power that we will provide out-of-the-box may eventually sway some users caught in Obsidian/Roam land to try the Visible way. Thank you for signing up for

My issue is that it feels like none of these tools do anything significantly new, and are all so obsessed with wonky features like node-graph views and backlinks that are only useful to a niche audience of obsessive note-takers who in many

Good point about realtime or not, however with ML I have found the weaknesses get addressed pretty fast by someone. There is a big step between proof of concept and practical application though, so we shall see.

I wouldn't. A huge amount of interactivity can be done in pure CSS, and often design work is exploratory or experimental and doesn't need to output a fully functional component, it just needs the functionality CSS and HTML provide

It's not just limited, it is fairly misleading. I had to actively tell my devs to ignore the Inspect panel because it was giving them pixel values when we use rems, or they would hardcode colors that should have been design system toke

But CSS would still get you better prototypes that imitate native designs than anything Figma can provide. All the top requested features for Figma are CSS-like features even coming from designers who don't know CSS. CSS has solved man

How is it Apple, Google, or Microsoft are not further ahead of the game on speech recognition like this? They have the resources to hire the best ML researchers and throw tons of computing hours at it, yet Siri, Google, and Cortana continue

Figma will never be good at dev handoff because it isn't built on HTML/CSS rendering, so its code output is awful. No plugin or interpretation layer can fix this. CSS is the language of design, yet for some reason every design too
