Google should be entirely irrelevant when it comes to the right to be forgotten. That right should be used to allow users to delete content from websites. Who or what points to those websites is irrelevant. This is a broken piece of legisla

My passive income has mostly dried up this year. Years ago I built an automated webshop deployment system for a bloke who makes hundreds of small websites a year, and dozens of webshops a year. The deal was that I'd build it for free,

Power is three times as expensive over here. It's a very poor trade.

Why is this unfair? Since when do employees feel entitled to own a part of the company -- but only if it goes well, right? Wouldn't it be more fair if they had to pay up if the company went under? Misplaced sense of entitlement, this.

YMMV. In some countries you have to pay taxes when you receive options -- as opposed to when you exercise them. This can make it impossible for some people to receive options, as they may not be able to afford the taxes.

I love the APU2, but it draws 5 times more power than my TP Link.

YMMV, but 100mbps is not enough speed for me. That rules out the Pi.

I'm a heavy APU2 user. They mostly sit around 7W. Which is a lot more than most off the shelf wifi routers and the like.

I run unbound on my laptop. My ISP poisons DNS with random crap like state sponsored censorship. Sometimes I'm in places where DNS requests are blocked/filtered/messed with, in which case I simply tunnel all my traffic. I wis

Their motivation for leaving Reddit is incredibly silly. Especially given that Google Groups -- of all things -- is their preferred alternative.

It's true that a lot of startups have, well, a "startup vibe" at first. I many cases that seems to disappear as soon as external capital is poured in :-(

The Typewriter Revolution article is a real beauty. It covers a nice history lesson as well as making some good points. One thing I take offense to is this statement: > Opening multiple windows on a computer screen doesn't work for

I've seen halos for as long as I can remember. Never had any eye surgery of any kind, and doctors tell me my eyes are fine. It's kind of annoying, but no big deal. Wish I knew what caused it though.

True, but mostly useful in suburban environments. Covering a sky-scraper's roof in PV probably wouldn't make much of a dent in its energy consumption.

If ever there was a character where it wouldn't matter, it'd be the one of Major Motoko Kusanagi. Her lack of a human body makes it entirely irrelevant what race she is portrayed as. The fact that the movie is largely about "

That doesn't solve anything as long as your phone supports 2G and falls back to it when 3G/4G are unavailable (i.e. when being deliberately jammed).

Indeed. But I haven't come across any phones that let you specifically disable 2G(GSM). Most let you disable 4G or 3G, or let you prioritise one over the other, but disabling 2G altogether seems to be missing.
