More than a year after its smart contract introduction devs have still failed to create a single DEX (let alone something more complex) there despite trying. The one Algo were hyping about having a dex last October (idex i believe) have qu

A laptop is an exaggeration but the general point that if you reduce the hashrate say 10fold you'll still be processing exactly the same amount of transactions (after the difficulty adjusts at least) is true.

For lactose intolerance maybe it doesn't matter. There are a lot of diesesases for which screening is not worth it if your risk is too low due to a high false negative compared to your risk (which is part of why we screen young people

Comparing a single study to a whole subfield is just odd. Also again, no. You generally don't make individual judgements based on group differences. You can make population-level decisions based on them or allocate funds more effective

The backlash by progressives is usually specifically centered around the group differences part. And I don't buy that's the one that gets all the attention - all the negative one maybe, but most accepted and talked about genetic r

Sure, that's a good point generally but doesn't seem at all the problem the article is addressing. Skimming it, it's about progressives denying group differences at all and calling those who research them 'equivalent to

Sure but if that's mostly the mix of supplements in one tablet versions. If you buy pure melatonin from a respected brand it's going to be a pretty high chance you are getting the right dose.

Looks like it was within 10% of described for 71% of supplements (which sounds pretty okay) but there were some big outliers for the rest. It also suggests the biggest variance was in mixed-supplement pills while pure melatonin pills were m

Yes, I meant coffee though other common methods of ingesting caffeine like tea don't seem to be far off. And no, there's other studies (not sure which one this is from the article you linked). This recent meta-analysis reviews 40

Caffeine is not just harmless, every meta-analysis suggests it's beneficial for the majority and actively reduces all-cause mortality. I've quit it for months at a time but it hasn't made me feel less tired when I do, the opp

You are vastly exaggerating the risks of attempting to self medicate with something as safe as melatonin while underappreciating the potential benefits.
