Not if you as a developer don't touch the footguns. Avoid those, and your game works fine with no problems, no intervention from Proton or Wine needed.

Valve is not a monopoly/part of a duopoply/oligopoly. They're also not behaving like knobheads. It's the combination of monopolistic practices and causing harm to consumers that should invoke antitrust enforcement. There

Valve's DRM is trivially bypassed. It's just there so that the checkbox 'has DRM' is ticked. You can also publish games on Steam without DRM, as in, you can then just copy the game files and run them anywhere. Most don&#

If the choice is between being broken behind the scenes and broken in your face, it's no wonder people pick the former. If Microsoft and the like really cared about security, they'd push security completely separately from feature

Consumer versions of Windows just put a watermark on your screen and disable changing your wallpaper and the like. You can use it indefinitely beyond that. And if you want the watermark gone, then Massgrave is your friend.

If Microsoft doesn't want to sell it, I don't see why I should care that it's illegal. I don't feel bad for downloading abandonware for the same reason. They don't want my money? Fine then. I'll just get it som

People were indeed shitting on Windows 10, but far less than Windows 8, and most people were willing to suck up the minor enshittification of 10 compared to 8 in exchange for a more modern OS. People sticking to 7 until 11 came out is somet
