asmjs is great. Imho the better approach than wasm. But it seems to not have great browser support (no Safari for example). And support is probably not getting better in the future.

Are you saying JavaScript is not turing complete, so it can't do everything that other languages can?

That makes it sound like WASM only exists because of the nerdy preferences of compiler makers, not because of any benefits to the users of applications? If speed is fine, why would a user care if the application was compiled to a language w

That does not answer the question what the benefit of compiling to WASM rather than to JavaScript is. If speed is fine, why would I care if a compiler compiled to a human-friendly language?

Not sure what you mean. I guess this is a misunderstanding. What I mean is that I would like something like this to work: code = `( func $add (param $a i32) (param $b i32) (result i32) local.get $a loca

Then why does WASM exist? If someone wants to compile whatever other language to run in the browser, why not just compile it to well-written JavaScript?

The reason I don't use WebAssembly is that browsers do not support the text format. Often it is just a tiny loop that one wants to optimize. Writing it manually in WAT would be nice. But adding a whole toolchain and a compile step to t

How does that prevent the owner from renting out the building now? Why don't they rent out the building for a lower rent now and for a higher rent later, when the area is more desirable? And how are they getting something for nothing?

How is spaces staying empty related to rent seeking? It seems the opposite? If they stay empty, there is no rent. The other two points seem to be about the price level, not about "seeking"? Do you suggest owners of buildings shoul

I doubt that "client side routing" makes a site more snappy. I think what you mean is that elements shared across pages (the header, the navigation bar etc) do not have to be sent again. But those are very small anyhow. And you co

How does JSX "directly" render to HTML? Have you compared the codebase of the React to EJS? EJS is much more direct. And the logic is also Javascript. What do you mean by "no mapping to Javascript"? It is not as if React

Almost all projects I see that use Next.js or React or Vue or any other heavy frontend framework/library would be better off just using a library to template things on the backend (For example Jinja). Sometimes a bit of client side ren

I have the feeling you both are confusing your development workflow around database structure with the structure itself. You seem to think that using columns somehow results in some type of automatic "tracking" (versioning?) of so

What do you mean by "tracking"? So far, we have not talked about tracking anything. Only about how to add a new field. I just named a downside of the columns approach: It slows things down. Being able to add add fields faster lead

Multiple reasons. Let me start with one: Flexibility. I can add a new attribute the very moment I create a new row. When I want to add "not_available_before: 2026" to a car, I can do that right away. No need to alter the table and
