I think accountability is in a different dimension than blame. The antonym of accountability is irresponsibility or indifference. The opposite of blame seeking is in my opinion embracing failure and understanding (as an org) that innovation

No, but you can start a business with a singlesystem, keep things well decoupled (hard / software engineer is hard).. Then you gradually run some parts of the systems in different docker containers, then at some point you completely de

Exactly, tool vs hammer. Sometimes you made the wrong choice in tool, and then you switch tools.. Nothing wrong with that. A craftman just knows its tools better. There is no magic bullet here.

Django is cool. But miss the type safety. FastAPI is better but is openapi spec second. Not easy for clients. However now doing mostly Kotlin with Ktor and loving it. Just a better language which makes it much easier to trust the compiler.

What’s wrong with a autoscaling container behind an load balancer that has a http handler with optionally a pub sub in between? Security, retry etc are not hard. You could use a service mesh. Why not use k8s

So much extra fluff and process. Why not just document your code. Use markdown files. And focus on working core? In my experience good engineers get together in a room make decision swiftly and deploy them. Often with docs. Also worked with

Programming skills that do not need critical thinking are more susceptible of being influenced indeed. Don't forget that a lot of science requires computer programming these days. This is the root of it: The more "genericc" y

That’s more a problem of moot and python than of static analysis itself. Python is a dynamic language and mypy is as an after thought not a sound static type checker. Better than nothing…would be way more risky not having it. However engine

I’d explained it in this way: It’s a neural network that learned to understand knowledge by reading a large part of the internet. It’s emergent behavior inside the neural net. It what happens in the brain of a baby. In the first months the

You’re actually right. You don’t want people to edit the DB or schema in this manner. Schema migrations should go via CI/CD and data changes via your app. Otherwise it’s gets messy indeed.

FYI this is not a competitor to k8s. It is basically scp for docker containers. It doesn’t manage your running containers. You will need to hire people todo that with MRSK. Which is a choice and a trade-off. Not sure if it makes sense when

To predict sentences correctly the model learned human knowledge and its relations. It correctly predict, you need intelligence. This model encodes human knowledge in its huge neural net.

Some of these statements are subjective: the vacuum cleaner is quiet. Maybe the marketing material says that, but the internet not? Or “this company has a website”.. well it depends.. maybe it had one? A human might also tell the wrong thin

We use a similar model, but only one "main" branch, which get a tag when released. I would call it trunk based development, since feature branches are short lived.. Most MR are just 1 or 2 commits. Just part of our review process.
