The free weekend was horrific for the community. I run the (I think) main public server in Australia: the server ended up being a war ground, with impersonators causing havoc. Only now is the normal community of users reappearing, the norma

I think its both. I find it hard to work without resharper, yet it is a bloated, buggy pile of crap at times.

Reading into it, it is not enough to just have CustomErrors on to mitigate the risk. There are some pretty detailed instructions, involving pushing all errors to a single page, with a random delay embedded in the page script. They seem inte

Its not forced, I went through it today, and then promptly rolled back to 10.3, the last (somewhat) working driver from ATI/AMD.

Microsoft Security Essentials: Not sure what you have against this. I happily suggest it for all my friends and family when they ask for anti virus. Its free, and effective, and doesn't cause headaches (ala Norton, etc).

I highly doubt they would jump into the water and try to compete with Amazon. It's way to direct, I really don't see them being able to just brute force their way in.

Team Foundation Server from MS could achieve this I reckon (might need a bit of work to get it exactly how you want). Or possibly even (I hate to say it) sharepoint.

I think you could mitigate some of the irritation by greatly increasing the movement speed of the highlight, and somehow fixing the snap-back that occurs when you move to the right of the bar.

Maybe Google is hoping that someone will fork the app store side of things, and it won't be their problem anymore?

Thats a limitation with your credit cards. Mine can bill in any currency required (obviously, followed by a currency conversion fee, and the conversion itself being completed at rates seemingly VERY favorable to the bank/cc company).

You just reminded me of my own awakening with hyper card in early high school. Until reading this, I considered my first "wow, this is awesome" experience with programming was simple VB6 apps in late high school. Hyper card rocked my world.

Likely a subtle troll. Many try to sneakily infiltrate conservapedia and post articles that sit between crakpottery and satire.

No, if I meant that, I would have written that. I know much about .net, and not a great deal about java.

The google apps are an outlier in my experience so far. They tend to ask for many indepth permissions. Most apps just want full network access (for ad's) and sometimes phone call state/sdcard access etc.

It's quite clearly stated, when you install an app from the market, what permissions is it requesting. If your wallpaper app wants to know your location, SMS content etc etc, and you still install it, more fool you.
