Been there, done that, lived with the mistake. Would all the stress, emotion and distraction of pushing further be worth it in the end? I'd just call it a learning experience (and a loss), toss the whole thing into history and move on with

Essentially, you want a dev machine set up so you never break your flow/mindset/focus because you're waiting for the PC to respond. Lots of RAM. Once you go 4GB++, you wont go back. The amount of time you spent waiting for a pc with 2gb of

I think you are missing a critical point. Computer simulations can have iterations that are several magnitudes faster than anything you would likely see with bio evolution.

You might find that, like myself, you function much better in the evening and night. Even though I keep a normal daylight schedule for work reasons, I long to fall back to my natural rythmn: rise at 4pm, and sleep at 7 or 8am.

I think the article perhaps means to say printed dictionaries are obsolete in the face of the new technology.

I don't understand, why do you not have intellisense at home? The Express editions have intellisense, right? http://www.microsoft.com/express/

Add in the combination of Resharper and Visual SVN, and it walks circles around anything else.

But what would you do when this final few MB runs out? I beleive it wouldn't be something that would be done, it would follow a similar pattern to RAM memory, ie. Run out, you get a hard OOM error, game over.

Can we just truncate the thread at this point? The entire tree underneath here (as it stands now) is entirely inappropriate. Some of the posts even have > 1 upvotes. Should they not be -1?
