Look at books on Amazon... maybe. Honestly trailhead, studying for certs, and building stuff are the best way. focusonforce.com is nice. Best book I've read on learning the how to build with Salesforce using clicks over code is: https

DX works great if you have a new project in a new org. But as a contractor, there are many times I have to work in orgs that are 4-5 years old that have been through tons of admins and devs. I can't exactly convert an old org instantly

There is a high demand. Like exceptionally high. As a contractor I have endless work and never have a hard time negotiating my rate. There is such high demand because Salesforce is not as sexy as being a front-end dev that uses react or a b

As a Salesforce developer, I find myself feeling like I'm on a different planet compared to other developers. I can't: - develop locally. - easily backup using source control. - contribute to or create open source projects easily.

SF is willingly taking on that burden. All of SF's policies have only made homelessness worse, not better.

My guess is you agree that is has to be solved at the national level? The federal government has spent over $20 trillion to fight the war on poverty since 1965. You really thinking throwing more money at the problem will solve homelessness?

What makes you think it can be solved at the national level when it can't even be solved at the city level?

My father is homeless. No matter how much money you throw at him, he's never been able to be self-reliant. He has not had his own place for over 20 years (I'm 31 years old). He has problems with alcohol and can never stick with an

What's the point of adding a sentence or two to a commit message? I only include a keyword and the issue number, e.g. "Closed #41" or "Fixed #41". This will link the commit to the GitHub issue, which will allow any

Thanks! I think my first employer severely underpaid me, which is why I jumped so quickly. Also, having a wife and kids to support, that really puts a flame to your feet to work hard.

My family is from Europe. I've never been there. Grown up in America my whole life. Is it possible to have family living in a country you are not from? Yes..

Are you from China? I'm American, and doing this would be completely out of the norm for my culture.

The problem is he designs the data modal for the apps, and I'm suppose to work with it. These are apps that have existed for 1-2 years, mind you. Of course on a new app I design, but these existing apps, the design just seems terrible,

There is a whole db schema that he designed for the app that a company is using. He wants me to work with that when fixing bugs or adding features, those are requirements.
