It would likely require redesigning all of the related circuits where the chips are to be integrated. that’s a lot of work and would require more new chips.

There are a number of different third-party window managers that you can use. Rectangle is a popular one. There are a lot of little tool like that so they don't always get incorporated into the OS.

And I don't need that level of integration. The passive CarPlay UI projection is exactly what I want. It's not all about driving to charging stations. That is a rare occurrence.

As a current GM Volt owner who had been considering the upcoming Blazer and Equinox this is very frustrating and basically rules out GM vehicles. I use CarPlay daily and it is my preferred way to personalize the car. Yes, I do use Maps in C

In many vehicles, CarPlay and Android Auto appear within a panel on the overall interface, they don't have to take over the whole UI.

It does store that metadata in the directing in Mac OS native file systems. The DS files are only for non-Mac file systems like FAT32.

Firefox makes them pretty easy to use. One key stroke (Ctrl/Cmd-B) displays/hides the bookmarks sidebar where you can search your bookmarks. You can drag the current url to the bookmarks bar to add a new bookmark.
