Battery operated devices, while nominally 3.3V, commonly work down to 3V or even 2.7V in line with the voltage curve of lithium (not li-ion) coin batteries.

One of mine definitely lacks such a filter because I was able to catch not only the remote, but also an electric stovetop while it was still heating up and its glow was barely visible with the naked eye.

To me it appears that the screen is a huge power hog - at least in the 16. My idle power consumption at 0% display brightness is around 7.5W, but I've seen people get to as low as 6.5W. Not great, not terrible. With the display at 50%

I have at least one contact who focuses exclusively on pushing his libertarian views with a side of particularly conservative talking points. Honestly I'm curious to find out how the mix of that and what you described looks.

I would get this for the same reason I'm planning to replace my couch with an optimal-for-moving-through-a-turn couch as soon as I find a carpenter willing to make it. The middle part will be evened-out by a separate, round cushion.

Wanted to say the same thing. People often conflate JS with the DOM API, but that couldn't be further from the case. You can get rid of JS, but that won't help much because it's just a small language interfacing with a huge,
