Yep. I've enjoyed both, but I think it comes down to: If your draw to the game is is your sense of connection with the place you're in, Satisfactory probably does a better job of that, with the pretty scenery and ability to build

Yep. Even more reason to conserve it for cases where we actually need it. Plastic is tremendously useful, though we could probably use a lot less of it, too. Particularly in the ocean.
