The people preventing new construction are greedy. They are dictating what others can and can't do with their land in order to protect their own interests. They get million dollar home values and everyone else is stuck with $3000+/

Don't increase road capacity, people will start biking, or getting scooters, or taking public transit. High density also generally means you have groceries and restaurants near your house so you don't need to drive to eat. If you

Wasn't that a proposal to increase view point diversity? My understanding was that they wanted more conservative board seats. That's different from the diversity this article discusses.

What did Mac OS build off of? Would that be possible without OSS? Same for the large web services. How far would any of those companies have gotten without open source? No one is arguing that unfunded projects will kick the ass of funded on

I was just looking at XPSs for a new laptop. My SO has the XPS 15. I ended up getting a 13" System 76 instead. My main reasons were that I didn't need a touch screen and the webcam is only good if you're a hand model. I just

The only bummer for me with HiDPI are the Linux apps that don't support it yet. If I launch Aseprite or Processing3D the windows are comically zoomed out. Small price to pay for using the (IMO) best OS for developers.

I'm moving to the bay area from Baltimore for a lot of reasons. First, the salary increase means I'll be putting away more money every year, housing costs considered. Second, Baltimore is a mess. The roads are horrible and there i

The fixed transaction cost is really what eats up low value transactions. 30 cent fee means anything below 30 cents is unusable. A 2 percent fee with no fixed cost would be fine with me. If you know of a processor that does this, let me kno
