Well, privacy is not binary. Nothing is ever fully public or fully private. Something being more or less private just describes how hard it is for someone to get this information. The inertia of this information. Do they have to drive to yo

Just go into Private Browsing in Android Firefox and you have essentially the same thing as Firefox Focus, except with Gecko underneath it and all the usual amenities of a full-featured browser. Focus is meant for average users, who don

You're asking for a completely new browser engine to be written. A browser with a completely new browser engine isn't going to be "good" for a long time, because most webpages will just be broken on it, until they'v

Servo is not a major browser engine. It's a small research project. And Firefox continues to use Gecko. It has some bits and pieces from Servo in it and the Mozilla marketing team has dubbed everything "Quantum" for the Fir

It's because there's so much competition for experienced people in Silicon Valley. If Mozilla wouldn't pay her that much, another company would.

Yes, the Android-version is also just a Blink wrapper. It's almost impossible for Microsoft to port Trident/EdgeHTML to other operating systems, because it's so deeply integrated into Windows.

Thomas de Maizière wants that. The guy says unconstitutional shit like this every other week. It'll be shot down by our supreme court for sure, if it's even taken into consideration in the first place.

Firefox 52 ESR would probably be the safer alternative. It will receive security updates until June 26, 2018. And I honestly just can't imagine Waterfox or other forks trying to keep XUL compatibility to stay secure long after that, as
