My degree is in Psychology and I worked in the mental health field for years before switching to IT full time. The system is broken in many ways. Basically both Republican and Democrat parties fund the absolute federal bare minimums. In tho

I have a 2016 Acer Predator I use for work. I replaced the thermal compound with liquid metal. Dropped the temps 25c and I have had no issue with it, it is on generation behind being able to run Windows 11 but still.

I started my CS degree in 2000, I heard the same, companies would rather fly someone from India over then hire you. Also my CS advisor said "Java will be the only language anyone uses in 20 years"

I'm still driving a 2006 even though I have enough money saved up to buy a brand new car. There is literally nothing wrong with it. I see no point in buying a new car besides impressing people with my new car.

I got a ZIP drive like a year before I got a CD burner so it didn't have a very long lifespan. I wish I still had it so I could hook it up and see what I put on the discs.

>using polar coordinates for clipping comes to mind Wonder how he would do it in 2021. Also GLDoom was a project that started off of this but the source code was lost for 20 years due to a hard drive failure.

I was super hyped for Overwatch, I loved my time with the beta. I thought Overwatch was going to be the new Counter-Strike, Quake, or Halo. One of those games that just defines its time period. Then it launched and I got bored after 1 month

That is how I felt about the imdb forums and also ftp.cdrom.com. I was huge into Doom and Quake in the mid-late 90s and I used to get a ton of files from ftp.cdrom.com. All the WAD hosting went to places like doomworld and one day they anno
