Not really. More like a permanent resident, which is still pretty nice. In the past they were closer to citizens (and many older NZers who come over can be grandfathered into these privileges to one extent or another, with some extra red ta

I love systemd, but you've hit on one of my biggest complaints. The mounting promises a cohesive system and instead gives you a completely broken mess, with mounts being split across .mount unit files, fstab, and worst of all, .service

I love this kind of stuff - non-English programming languages, particularly when they utilise language features in unexpected ways like this. My Turkish is pretty rusty - and was never any good anyway, but really cool stuff.

Cool idea if you have a more specific niche requirement than it would initially appear, but genuinely nice to know this is available if such a use-case happens to cross my path.

The article contains the information only a few paragraphs in. It leads with the information that is actually news and is what the headline is about. You might wish every article starts with a genuflection to any and all relevant Kremlin ta

I've only dabbled in Gemini so I don't know their names off the top of my head, but I tried out a number of GUI Gemini browsers in the past, and they're quite nice. Easy on the eyes, simple design, all the variable width font

You joke, but I honestly wonder if this period and projects didn't involve a bunch of Microsoft employees who got a little overexcited when they were told that they didn't need to maintain the insane, sometimes bug-for-bug, compat

Christ, comment sections like this make me never want to do anything that might gain widespread adoption, ever. Brought to you by the helpful folks who managed to bully WinAmp into retreating from open source. Very productive.

Every time I read stuff from the Dolphin crew I'm totally blown away by not just the ingenuity but the attention to detail and care for what they are doing. They are the absolute North Star of emulators. Everyone should at least aspire

The anti-Diet-Coke push has stooped to new lows. I will _NOT_ drink 'Coke No Sugar' (or whatever they'recalling it now), you will _NOT_ triumph over me.

It's just the standard. So it self ratifies. It is quite possibly one of the worst options though given how many important language features are lost in it. Cantonese used to be the preferred, and probably is to some, but even that is

What about a sleep? Each release that the feature gets more deprecated, the program adds a couple milliseconds of just blocking. Less destructive, and gives a nice slow ramp up with real but non-destructive consequences.
