It depends.. the basic principles and structure haven't changed. Drivers have always been a challenge, so they do port Linux drivers over when they can which is a challenge when it comes to 3D acceleration, etc. These days there are 4

The wavelengths are spiky compared to incandescent, and the LEDs flicker if they are not DC-driven. The flicker is pretty annoying because the transition is an abrupt on-off. Where I am the city had the bright idea to wrap LED ribbons aroun

I'm still stunned by that.. definitely a Joker lighting the money on fire scene. So many products, printed packaging, websites, business cards, games, etc. had the Twitter logo and link on them. It was even integrated into iOS at one p

Same, but not even for Musk.. just their employees in general. I definitely don't trust all of them, in particular the yappy one who was publicly inflammatory on Christmas Day. In a regular corporation there would have been public cons

I remember awhile back that they were and do train on repositories to the point that I never wanted to use GitHub for anything other than submitting bug reports to projects. Maybe the non-training only applies if you pay protection money? B

I agree with this article. Executives are going to say, why pay anyone when we can just have the receptionist tell the AI to make whatever and if it has bugs, we'll type another prompt and ask to have it fixed. It's sad because tr

I have this problem too, other than the porn thing, which I would suggest you avoid looking at because it'll desensitize you like a drug habit which is no good. Strategies are tough.. logically, we all know what needs to be done. Follo

Absolutely. For example, the Maoris are not the original indigenous. What happened to them you may ask? They became literal dinner for the Maoris. This has happened elsewhere too. True original indigenous are rare. The thing with the island

My assumption is that AI "safety" is a test to make sure that it doesn't say or show anything politically incorrect and give you a lecture instead (according to the values of those who worked on it) or alternatively, to ensur

It was called Kermit, but these faddish fonts.. bleh. You can also consider https://software.sil.org/andika/ and of course, the venerable Comic Sans MS. Show them all 3, see what they like.

I can't give you a non-speculative answer because in truth, my coding is from the Pascal era. The way I look at it in terms of cheaper is that you don't need to be as careful, less need to worry about memory leaks which lead to ex

It won't be C. The reason as I see it is because of commodification. Executives want things as cheap and drop-in as possible. With C, you need a certain amount of skill. With a language like Rust that advertises memory-safety, they lik

It's fascinating to me when you tell one that you'd like to see translated passages of work from authors who never have written or translated the item in question, especially if they passed away before the piece was written. The A

It will be interesting to see how the shareholders of the publicly traded company respond when the FBI, etc. start getting involved with the threats being made on that platform.

Muscle cramps/spasms are a lot more than just vitamin D.. electrolytes are important.. If they have been deficient in vitamin D, chances are they are also deficient in electrolytes as well.

Out of curiosity, the various brands, were any of them in liquid form? The reason I ask is because it's possible to be intolerant or allergic to one of the filler ingredients in a tablet.

The trick is knowing what the optimum settings are to use.. with h.265 as you lower the bitrate it smooths more and more and you lose detail. h.264 does blocking instead, so there is an image quality difference.

I am typing this on a 1987 Apple keyboard on a PC and this numpad functionality works. What I don't know is, is it because of Windows, or because of the ADB to USB adapter? The numpad keys do have their own scan codes separate from tha

B12 is water soluble and does not cause neuropathy. It was a error by the original poster. As for methyl vs cyano, it depends whether you have the genetic factors that would benefit or not from methyl groups. In my case I wouldn't bene

B-vitamins are water soluble.. I take 50mg a day in a bio-available form pyridoxal-5-phosphate. Consider this form instead. I'm taking it because there is some genetic evidence that I would benefit from doing so. No neuropathies thus f

This means the virus has now mutated enough that it was able to jump from cow or another source to pig which is not good news. Pigs are mixing chambers for this sort of thing where flus become fitter for human hosts. This one is going to do
