Did someone try to compile Zebra Crossing (ZXing) to JavaScript using Emscripten? I searched a lot, but sadly didn't find anyone who succeeded. And I don't have enough knowledge about C++ to try it myself.

No Frameworks used, just "modern" JavaScript: https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia Have learned some things by reading the code.

Just set up a PC as Wifi hotspot with the same name as the target network and grep the credentials from the devices that try to automatically connect to your PC. ;) PS: should work with any SSID and password auth

I heard a talk lately by two students that came to the result that it was a lot time consuming to debug. You have to get from native-code failures to your JS implementation. But I didn't try it myself by now.

Don't judge about others based only your used hardware! There are a lot (!) people with devices out there that only have 10MB storage left and can't install a app because it's size is bigger than that. ;)

No no no! Plz do not shrink them! Every developer knows how to shrink SVG. But it's really hard to get nice readable SVG back from shrinked ones. Better this way...

Btw. there's no "lack of WhatsApp on Firefox OS phones". I'm using OpenWapp on Firefox OS day by day. And it's working. Another WhatsApp client is ConnectA2 (which I didn't use by now)

If you ask me, in five years another messaging service will be up-to-date. But you may be right, the internet at all is getting multi cultural. That will be really interesting times.

Can't understand why there's no good SVG implementation in Objective-C / Swift. SVG makes Web-Dev or even C# / XAML so much easier.

I bought a good used Nexus 4 this week and installed Firefox OS 2.2, works really nice. I love it. This will be my main Phone for the next year(s).

The problem of Firefox OS is the fix focus camera of over 1 meter and the max 5 mega pixel resolution. You can't get sharp barcode images. They are either blurry while to near, or too small while in focus. I've build a Firefox OS

Oh nice! I started a VRML parser in Action Script (Flash), but never finished. Worked with Papervision3D at that time.

Is there any chance to check logged in facebook users? As far as I can see, all photos uploaded to facebook are public. Even if you restrict your page/posts using age or country - everyone can see the shared picture if he loads the url
