On the other hand, if you delay contracting the virus for as long as possible, you leave more time for more effective treatments to be made available.

C# can only go so far down the road towards F# without introducing currying and partial application. I can't see those ever being introduced into C#.

Do you remember what the factory default was? I expect most people who aren't au fait with pickup patterns will either leave it on the factory default or put it in stereo (which looks very similar to omni).

I think the section on mics could be enhanced by explaining a little about the different pickup patterns available. A cardioid pickup is a lot more appropriate for these uses than an omni pickup would be. The author mentions the Yeti mic pi

It's not just German manufacturers. I drive a Lexus and I can relate to a lot of the things being said here. The car is wonderful but the software feels like an afterthought.

It's true there are innumerable variables at play here. The nature of the work is a huge factor as well. It's probably futile to try and come up with a general rule of thumb. It could be that people already have too much spare t

It's not a religious argument by any means. It's a common idiom which means that "if people don't have anything to do with their time, they are more likely to get involved in trouble and criminality." (see https:

I don't think it should be assumed that less time at work is necessarily preferable. What will people do with all their additional spare time? Sure, they might spend their days learning art, history, philosophy. They might take up writ

I always thought the primary reason for that was that stereo low frequencies, when recorded onto vinyl records, hugely increase the risk of the needle 'jumping' out of the groove and skipping into another one.

True enough, one could name any year between 1979 and 1985 as the "invention" year of C++, and the claim would have some merit. http://www.cplusplus.com/info/history/

C++ was invented in 1979. In 1989 the most popular programming languages, in order of popularity, were: 1. C 2. Ada 3. Pascal 4. Lisp 5. Fortran 6. C++ 7. Assembly 8. COBOL 9. BASIC 10. APL Source - https://youtu.be/Og847HVw

I don't think it's so cut and dry. The Telegraph stupidly exaggerated the results of the poll in order to generate a click-baity headline, which was completely un-necessary. Then you have publications like the New Statesman who th
