I haven't looked at Perl in years, having long ago switched to Python/SciPy, but now I see that Perl 6 doesn't have GIL, something that Python has been unable to shed. So now a language that nobody cares about anymore solves

It's been refreshing moving the majority of my messaging to Telegram with a bit of Signal on the side. No worries about what platform people are using or that our data is being mined and sold to advertisers. Using iMessage is pretty mu

Much depends on your threat model. Telegram is plenty good for keeping your conversations out of the hands of Facebook and Google, and the user experience with synching messages/drafts between devices and editing/deleting of messa

A map() function that isn't just an iterated fork() would be glorious. Let me launch a thread team like in OpenMP to tackle map() calls containing SciPy routines and I'll be unreasonably happy.

Can you back to an APFS volume yet, or does it need to be HFS+?

True. The closer shots sadly also have a plastic look from noise reduction. I'm sure that a decent raw converter will get much better results out of the files.

Meh, there's terrible smearing of details in the leaves, grass, and stone due to clumsy noise reduction. It will be interesting to see what a decent raw converter can do with files from the camera.
