Seems fine to me! If you want you can probably just run it all on one Droplet to save costs for now. If you're able, I'd recommend using a DigitalOcean droplet with dedicated vCPUs -- they're a bit more expensive but you'

One other API I've found that includes foreign exchange (as well as a bunch of other different asset classes) is http://iexcloud.io -- they have a free tier that is pretty generous.
