Star Wars fans will also tell you about some of the greatest video games of all time. None of the Star Trek games ever made much of an impact.

The reality is far more horrific. The Japanese were preparing to surrender to the Soviets, but the US couldn't have the Soviets take credit for winning the war on both fronts so they dropped a couple of nukes on Japan. https:/&#x

This is great. I am sitting in an Airbnb in Chamonix wondering where has good sunshine for skiing today? Now I know.

When I used to work in Crypto we had git hooks set up to prevent this from happening. It takes a bit more time to set up than just adding something to .gitignore but is a more robust solution of you design your hook well.

You just gave me a scary idea. Everyone has Metamask set to auto-update. If somehow an attacker could get a compromised update pushed out it would not be pretty.

"I just emailed an invitation to my colleague that we were working together on Zoom" Most likely explanation is that if you didn't drain the wallet yourself then the only other person with access to your private key did.

I thought it would be good to expand on the discussion on ethics in code & design brought up in the Peter Norton thread. Mike definitely has strong opinions on the matter, and strong opinions are always a good conversation starter. That

That's ridiculous. You also joined the discussion; by your own flawed logic, shouldn't we also determine everything everything you have said in this thread as being in support of the argument put forth in the root comment?
881.
by Stevvo 5y ago
No, it's about taking responsibility for your own actions and code.

parent comment is once again saying no such thing. The root comment of this thread are not the words of that comment.

I'd imagine a machine infected with Norton isn't even a good environment to mine crypto; it's already wasting it's resources on the rest of the bloat in that product.

I've found it to work great in cities that have reached a critical mass of users, e.g. in Taipei & Kuala Lumpur I often found diverse gender balanced groups meeting. In smaller cities it was 95% dudes looking for a hookup.

No way that thing was "FAA certified". Just checked the TCDS list; nothing there under "Tallmantz". Sounds like Experimental category, with the pilot killed before it finished the initial 40 hours of flight-testing.

He doesn't claim the origin of Delta was a lab leak. He claims Delta leaked from a lab in Taiwan.

Funny joke if you're 12. Which I guess is why everyone heard it from their middle-school chemistry teacher.

I'm with you on this one; there isn't really any issue here, other than the pre-existing censorship issues in China.

It's partially a propaganda thing with slogans printed on buildings everywhere saying things like "Charge towards the Chinese dream with vigor, for the betterment of the region and the party!"

Ummm, the UK has legal system too. I sure would love it if we could "trivially respond with a middle finger" to legal issues. This isn't Russia we are talking about here.

Why is agreeing with "It's wise to keep track of information that you can use against people later" an indicator of dark traits? This is what a lawyer does when building a case against a suspect. Are all lawyers somewhat &#x2

America is obsessed with parking garages. Most cities have no shortage of parking garages whose rooftops could be used as landing sites.

The USA has a unique impediment when it comes to HSR. In other countries the economics work not because they are selling tickets but because it frees up the conventional lines to be dedicated to cargo. In the USA most lines are privately ow

Sure, but that doesn't really help anything. e.g. the AW609 mentioned in the video that has been stuck in certification for 20 years is built in Italy under that agreement.
