Fiber optic drones were last year's weapon of choice, this year it is drones with autonomous terminal phase. This happened because the AI data center build-out increased demand for fiber optics, driving up the price to less affordable

It passed the first two puzzles, which are incredibly simple but the bench doesn't explain what the goal is. Any model with a knowledge cut-off after the introduction of ARC-AGI-3 could probably pass the first two puzzles just by knowi

30% on ARC-AGI-3 is the first two puzzles. It cost $20000 in tokens to do that. That is a terrible result that doesn't imply anything.

As far as I can tell, the whole point of the backrooms meme is pointlessly hostile and counterproductive petty arguments about ideas of what "backrooms" means and who owns those ideas.

Taking statements from this administration at face value is foolish. They have put out so many falsehoods that its safer to assume all of it is false.

People were not upset at Github for pausing new signups. It was the existing customers upset at token-based billing replacing their effectively unlimited $40 a month subscription.

Growing up poor and seeing luxury stores, I thought that's how they work. i.e. they are just money laundering fronts. I could not fathom that someone would actually spend 20k on a handbag.

Yes. The law was motivated by reports of luxury retailers destroying their entire stock every year. Usual stores just discount stuff until it sells.

A limited view of the threat. All very well worrying about keeping your armored brigade combat team fueled up, but that won't be much use when the same weapons that threaten the logistics have destroyed all the Abrams and Bradleys that

Anyone can build this style of interceptor with commercial off the shelf parts for a a few thousand dollars. It's also reusable. A rocket for the same budget will be unguided and single use. Not useable as an interceptor.

Meanwhile, the B-29 was under development in the US. Built almost entirely by women, men refused to fly it citing safety concerns. So Paul Tibbets, (who went on to drop Little Boy on Hiroshima) taught a crew of women to fly the aircraft. Th

Switzerland is a democracy, another concept foreign to Americans. People vote on all sorts of things all the time.

Why would you wait for inputs on server? That's a stupid idea. You can rollback on the server when mis-predicted inputs arrive late.

This was true until a couple of years ago. Recently things really picked up. That said, there are still many years old open PRs unmerged that make great additions; maybe this policy will free up resources to move forward with those.

By "player hosted servers", I meant players rent a server box with Hetzner or OVH or a managed server with a provider like Nitrado. Local player hosted servers have never really worked for anything more than LAN.

2. Is an absurd example. That is not how you do networked physics in 2026. You use jolt for cross-platform determinism with rollback, replicating only inputs.

I don't know if any of those "tons of reasons" are actually valid; checking the top 10 multiplayer games on Steam by player count all of them allow player hosted servers.

There is nothing "democratizing" about hosting your game's servers on AWS. Your game can have zero hosting cost if you just let players host their own servers. Let people play the game they paid for, forever, instead of locki

That is a glorified trail camera, really does very little to help people live with wolves. What does is a strict hunting quota; the government decides how many wolves there should be, rather than nature.

China claims to be building a successful communist state. The argument goes that you need to have wealth first before you can redistribute it, and China is currently in the wealth-building phase of achieving communism.
