Jane Street, financial trading company, uses OCaml a ton and publishes a lot of their libraries. I played with it some back when I was dabbling in every language I could get my hands on. About when Scala was new (and constantly breaking bet

These are not well chosen examples of feigned openness by Google or maybe I don't understand this comment. I used and loved Google Reader but you can't accuse Google of destroying an "ecosystem" by closing down a product

I'm not a huge gamer anymore but I often use Proton over native Linux. It's such a huge difference from the Wine days.

I figured GOPATH was designed around the monorepos and they've been trying to get rid of it using the module system. "/v2", git tags but not branches, and the blast radius of trying to use a forked dependency: Golang&#x2

For a truly private server, you'll need two needles of that mountainous haystack: set GOPRIVATE and tell git to use ssh first: git config --global url.git@HOSTNAME:.insteadOf https://HOSTNAME/

Having tried neither, Flutter sounds like the polar opposite of both the experience and capability that GP mentioned. I'm sure it's nice but can it be developed interactively in a PC browser as described above?

But early eligibility != required to do your job. The vaccine system was only as "full tilt" as we had doses available. We had capacity for substantially more shots in arms but there was nothing to give. That said, I do agree with

Vaccines were distributed based on population, not demand. We can't vaccinate people fast enough because we didn't get enough doses (see my other post in this thread). Now that other states have a stockpile sitting around, MA migh

Not even close to true. Demand is so high here, MA was only able to offer vaccines to the general public starting this week. If you were lucky enough to even be eligible last week, you needed to use bots to find an appointment. Compare that

It's a good day to be a Masshole. According to the spreadsheet, MA is least hesitant by state and together with VT, sweeps the first 14 counties (and the first 19, if you ignore SF).

Brew, CocoaPods, who else is carrying Apple's water? It seems to me that Apple never sold a Unix-like dev machine, they provided hardware and a kernel for others to do so for free.

I disagree wholeheartedly. I'm pretty tired of fictional April Fool's joke. If you've got a good idea for a (harmless) prank, DO IT. Don't write up some lame webpage to make people think you did it.
