What happens if the hungry mind is too hungry for your menial CRUD job, and you were actually better off with the unhungry mind that is content to do its job and go home at the end of the day?

You have to rely on your decades-long confirmation bias. I doubt the author (or anyone) goes back to their interview notes a year after hiring the candidate to see how much they got right.

I went somewhat differently, I tried a split wireless keyboard and couldn't go back after that but Bluetooth was flaky, so I designed my own (wired) one. Best keyboard I've ever used.

I'm generally (and a little counterintuitively) against improving the quality of things I try. I noticed that the hedonic treadmill makes it so that my level of enjoyment is the same as the lower-quality thing, it just makes it so I ca

Hmm, what language lets you use new libraries with old compilers? The only ones I can think of are languages that have stopped being developed, because as soon one of your dependencies uses a new feature, you're done. I'm just not

You can just have a CI job generate a CI config file and have GitLab CI load that into a child pipeline. Look up dynamic pipelines.

I don't understand your argument. You're saying that because people didn't mind dying from infectous diseases at a time where scraping your hand could prove deadly, we shouldn't mind it today either?

Interesting that way fewer people died after the 1918 pandemic. I assume it "weeded out" all the people who were likely to die soon anyway, but what's more interesting is that the negative bar seems to be longer than the

Oh, I see, I thought they meant that the excess deaths were caused by obesity, not by COVID19 leading to higher rates of death among the obese. That makes more sense.

I doubt the entire US became sharply more obese in the past year, though, so much so that it also died from it.

When I'm prototyping or hacking something together, it eventually becomes production. I cannot relate to people who make prototypes to throw away, I've never done it, and I don't know why I'd do it. Due to that, I write

I've been using this for a while (and even wrote the python library for it), it has worked quite well. My only feedback is that the release process was a bit too fast, frequently changing and breaking things without much API stability,
