No default system prompt in the API. There are some topics I much prefer chatting with the API due to system prompt of the web front-end being so restrictive (eg. song lyrics). In general I recommend people to try the API with no system pro

A big difference is that on Discord anybody who joins a server gets access to full history of chat logs whereas with IRC you don't get access to any past logs. So compared to IRC, Discord users should have an even lower expectation of

Incredible work! Truly eye-opening to see how some rarer keywords in my native language return pages of relevant results. Meanwhile google gives 0 results or just AI/ad spam.

Bitcoin has had periods of high network load in the past but as of late the fees have stayed relatively low. Currently the cost for a single transaction usually falls between $0.1-0.4.

I think ChatGPT (the app / web interface) runs prompts through an additional moderation layer. I'd assume the tests on these different models were done with using API which don't have additional moderation. I tried the meth o

For now you can still bring back manifest v2 support (which re-enables ublock origin if you haven't removed it) by making registry changes. Obviously only a temporary solution, might buy you a few months. Powershell commands to set the

For me it depends on what I'm doing. I too like the edit and resend ability in firefox dev tools but what I've found it lacking is the option to automatically open dev tools for pop ups, which is possible in chrome.

Yes, you can get around it by playing the video in a virtual machine and capturing it from the host. For widevine videos playing in browser it is also as trivial as disabling hardware acceleration from the browser's settings.

The average confirmation time is actually explained by very old transactions that have been in the mempool for weeks or months finally being included due to transaction fees being low enough[0]. This of course raises the average confirmatio

I see many people in this thread thinking that WhatsApp took off because of SMS costs, and while that may be true in some countries, at least here in Finland I think the biggest factor were group chats. By 2013-2014 basically every high sch

I think it is slightly higher than normal. I remember getting 30-40ms pings to germany in recent years. 45-55ms is around the range it used to be in early 2010's before the direct cable from finland to germany was built.
