So you would deny children the greatest source of knowledge in the history? I have learned math and programming thanks to unlimited access to the web and would not be where I am without it.

I still remember gemini 1.5 ultra and gpt 4.5 as extremely strong at some areas that no benchmark capture. It was probably not economical to use them at 20 usd subscription, but they felt differently and smarter at some ways. The benchmarks

what do you mean by the same model, just smaller version? Codex should be finetune of the "normal" version, where did you get it's smaller? It's not that simple as to take some weights from the model and create a new mod

Are you working on the design anymore by any chance? I must admin that the current vertical tabs implementation is the most beautiful I have ever seen. Brave, Edge, Orion are much worse. https://pub-882250cae12744b197b56b6f097999

What was the reasoning about not implementing vertical tabs much, much earlier? I use them now in the canary builds, but on 4k 32" screen it is not that critical as it was on the small 16:9 full hd screen. The vertical space used to be

An interesting book about discrete intelligence, given recent advancements in LLMs.

yeah, i overextrapolated it on my specific case on the czech language, but for me the difference is quite large and the czech internet has been quite active in the history, the computer linguistic department on the charles university is wor

> I sometimes vibe code in polish This is interesting to me. I always switch to English automatically when using Claude Code as I have learned software engineering on an English speaking Internet. Plus the muscle memory of having to quer

The voice mode sounded like a Ukrainian trying to speak Czech. I don’t think it means anything.

Claude sucks at non English languages. Gemini and ChatGPT are much better. Grok is the worst. I am a native Czech speaker and Claude makes up words and Grok sometimes respond in Russian. So while I love it for coding, it’s unusable for gene

it's not a great benchmark anymore... starting with it being python / django primarily... the industry should move to something more representative

I have not tried LibreOffice Online in many years, but it does not look like LibreOffice at all. It has the MSOffice ribbon clone. It is closer to OnlyOffice

Is it based on some open source core? Like the original Collabora Office?

It was once a cool alternative to gitlab. Self hostable, open source, etc... Now it's bloated hell. Everything from source control, to project management. I don't have good experiences with it in recent years

Of course there was a state ideology. Just the majority of the society and even the party did not actually believe it. There was a saying that there was more communists at a western university than in the whole Czechoslovakia

I can only speak of Czechoslovakia, but from 1968 to 1989 there was no ideology. After the soviet occupation, there was normalization era, that was explicitly about compliance with the regime, not about believe in communism. I agree though

It is interesting how dictatorships for resourceless countries needed to keep the people in like east germany or czechoslovakia. But current dictatorships with natural resources like Venezuela or Iran let dissent go. It makes them more stab
