Sounds like a violation of rule #21: Don't use Javascript to load/render your content text. It's idiotic. Thanks.

Wine and DRM is a problematic combination.

Running in Wine is not porting. It is using a intermediate layer. Porting means native code.

Yeah, I was thinking about that and spent the past minutes to make me some Bash functions like: function mean() { octave -q --eval "mean = mean(load('$1'))" } Then just run "mean numbers.txt"

I'd just use octave. It's as simple as $ octave octave:1> a=load('numbers.txt'); octave:2> sum(a) ans = 55 octave:3> mean(a) ans = 5.5000 octave:4> std(a) ans = 3.0277 octave:5> qu

This is well disguised advertisement for a kickstarter campaign with the trademark medium.com long-winded cringe-worthy grandiosity ego-stroking setup. Skip, you aren't missing anything in this.

Opera has sessions too, super nice if you want to clean up those 100 tags that accumulated in research.

I would use differently colored sequential schemes per building type, that might look good. Time to grab the data and play around. :)

Cartographers have it easy thanks to the wonderful sets on http://colorbrewer2.org/js/ . The scheme looks inspired by them. I wonder why this map was done with a divergent scheme though. The data has no midpoint, it ma

We learn that there has never been such an interest in the hog-calling competition before and that in 2012 it was significantly higher than ever before.

I vehemently disagree that 0 should be the baseline. That would make absolutely no sense for this plot. I would use something like the average or median of the relevant temperatures as baseline. Using 0 as baseline gives you huge columns an

That is a bad example of a bad example. It is clearly labeled and shows what it wants to show: The previously hottest years and the large jump of that record in 2012. How would you have done it better? What is it misinterpreting?

~550px on ~15cm I'd guess. With a sane text size as on HN for example I get about 30 lines of text on it. Browser sadly zoom the whole page nowadays, not just the text. So that is not a good solution.

Dear authors, my screen has hundreds of pixels vertically, I would like to be able to read more than 15 lines at once. The font size is insanely huge. It made me close the tab.

Sorry, I meant music under free licenses like creative commons. Free means at least free to share to me, not free to download for personal use.

Hm, I get no music and no indication why. Any chance that you would add free music aka music by people who want their art listened without anyone having to pay?

As you can easily re-enable it with any decent browser (Opera 12 is great) that is no issue since if you actually want to have a site to have interactive features on its pages, just enable it. Otherwise, you get soothing, plain, static cont

Value does not have to be monetary. In the example of an e-mail account, valuing privacy might be choosing a specific host because it has some better ToS or selecting a specific client because it supports PGP well.
