I mean, VX was the subject of The Rock , a 90s-era thriller with Nick Cage and Sean Connery. Maybe people didn't realize it was real, but the knowledge was already out there.

Matrix[1] solves some of these issues, notably the archiving and native scrollback, and has a working IRC gateway. We're experimenting with it at our IRC network now. 1. http://matrix.org/

One thing I can think of is getting support from the "social media" arm of companies; if they believe you're an "influencer", you're likely to get white glove treatment (and may otherwise be ignored).

One of the first comments on the link above mentions this as a potential exploit; they said they would watch for people attempting it and attempt to mitigate it if it becomes popular.

Sure, but if it got into a courtroom, the judge would probably be apt to rule in favor of the party that didn't write the contract, so I would guess that rather than invalidating the entire contract, they would strike that provision.

That sounds like it wasn't a contract in the first place. Doesn't it have to in some way bind both parties to be considered a contract? I would almost think that a lawyer would be able to convince a judge that that "contract

Google optimizes for new grads. To a certain extent, experience can actually make the interview process harder (because they will expect more of an experience candidate than a new grad).

If true, that would be a bit more disappointing. Can someone verify? Edit: Keep in mind I'm referring to developer mode installation per the link above, not directly installing the extension package from the store or a file.

AdNauseam silently clicks the ads as you mention, so they're actively messing with Google's ad statistics. If I was Google, I would consider it an attack too.

FWIW I have been avoiding mobile games almost entirely since they all started going the freemium route, and I will definitely point my daughter toward non skinner box games (as well as never paying for consumable or "cheat" IAP).
