I personally got an 8 for my work phone. No notch and Touch ID for less? Yes please. If only it had an earphone jack. I already dropped Apple from my personal devices earlier this hear. Cheaper OnePlus 7 Pro? Yep. Only took a few days to ge

   > The more times you force me to change my behaviour, the more badwill (being the opposite of goodwill) builds up. Eventually I'll become so pissed off that I'll move, no matter what the cost. This is why I gave up my iPhone X.

I have Hunter Douglas Pirouette blinds in my room, controlled by Control4. They are very quiet when going from open to close or vice versa, but loud going up to down. Look at a video to understand the difference. Recommended, but not cheap.

Yep. I removed them from my life after the 3 device limit and will.nit fo back. I will give a few bucks to Apple, Google and Microsoft for their file services for a while as I decide which one I like best.

This is exactly correct. I have an astigmatism which causes chromatic abberation. Specifically, the B in RGB is usually out of focus when the R is in focus, although I can actually force my eyes to focus on the B and cause the opposite to o

Counting general purpose CPUs only, I have so many in my house it isn't even funny. 6502, Z80, MIPS (64-bit), Alpha, SPARC, Ivory, 680x0, x86(_64), ARM (32/64), PowerPC and a lot of variants, and some I do not even know offhand (X

“Each of the 4 filters in the conv layer produces a 26x26 output, so stacked together they make up a 26x26x8 volume. All of this happens because of 3 × 3 (filter size) × 8 (number of filters) = only 72 weights!” There seems to be a mismatch

Thanks for creating it. I won’t switch for one major UX reason: the controls. There is insufficient contrast between them and the content, and they float over the content. It is too distracting. I am using your dark mode on an X. Also the c

I agree that a new type rating is not a good thing for Boeing or its customers. But it may be the best and right thing for pilots and passengers, which is what the Governments of the world should care about. Secondly, landing a taildragger

First off, sure it could go through certification de novo to get its own type certificate. Does not mean Boeing will do that (it is antithetical to their purpose with the aircraft). I am happy not flying on it as a 737-typed aircraft.

As simion314 said, a new type rating likely means it has to be certified from the ground up. It also means pilots need a full training regimen, a new type rating and will allow/require Boeing to fully train pilots in all of its systems

I will not fly the 737 MAX unless and until it has its own type certificate... and even then not for at least 3-4 years of commercial service under that condition. It is easy to see the scheduled type of aircraft when you book tickets.

I wish there was only 40 hours for work. At my current place 45-50 is more common. Add another 10-12 hours of commuting, at least 2-3 hours for personal grooming (and my wife is probably double that), and exercise/stretching which beco
