Motorcycles are certainly worse than drones in terms of noise pollution! I've never had a drone audible from 2 streets over with my double glazed windows shut, but I hear motorcycles daily (and nightly).

Right, I should have specified "Enforced laws". Considering how easy this one is to enforce, and how rarely it's actually enforced, it basically doesn't exist.

This is very likely already illegal, depending on where you live... It violates reasonable expectations of privacy, as well as nuisance laws in many jurisdictions, and can probably be considered trespassing. Not to mention they'd need

As long as there are no rules against a Harley Davidson which can be heard by anyone within a mile radius cruising down the street at 10pm (same goes for loud muscle cars, trucks etc), it seems like we shouldn't go arbitrarily restrict

It always baffles me that high-end webcams also usually come with bad microphones built-in. If you're dropping $200+ on a fancy high-end webcam for either streaming or high-quality video calls, you're probably also going to be dro

I tried going this route a few weeks ago. There's a few pretty big problems with current phone-based solutions: - You need to fiddle with your phone (which is probably mounted to a monitor?) any time you want to turn on your webcam - T

In my opinion this is unnecessary for small teams, and doesn't scale to big teams. Either your team is small enough that this should just be a conversation you have when you'd rather team members change their behaviors - OR - your

It's very achievable if you have full control over the site and you know what you're doing... However that's frequently not the case in many large companies. Many times it just comes down to something along the lines of these

Well a large business such as GH also has the resources to build their own in-house tracking solution, which can piggyback off of the first-party auth cookie without requiring any cookie pop-ups.

I haven't seen one (at least for a SaaS company) that will compensate for loss of productivity/revenue etc, but something like Slack's SLA[0] seems like it's moving in the right direction. They guarantee a 99.99% uptime

Why do sites need to "release" front-ends? Everybody can write javascript clients to send GETs and POSTs to any company's back-end server! Making it a single button that enables a different theme that a professional designer

I still prefer anticheat to having a multiplayer game ruined by players that move at 10x normal speed and dual-wield fully automatic, infinite-ammo sniper rifles rigged to never miss.

"Prevailing wage" in practice is, at best, an "average" wage, so if your company pays above market rate for above average developers normally, you can get a 'bargain' on a H1B worker at the prevailing wage. The

Everyone's definition of 'clean' will vary, but when I think 'clean' I'm also thinking clean code. Some of the examples of clean templates given in the comments here pull down 2MB over the wire, ~500k-1MB of wh
