I would like to see: - Be able to see inferred type - Be able to see documentation for types and methods - Better auto completion was sometimes suggesting non senses and after selecting it placed a cursor on wrong place - Integrated debugge

It one really nice thing about Go, you have http stack and json encoder/decoder integrated in std so you don't have to worry which one you should use if you are happy with basic one.

There are new languages with quite nice IDE support e.g. Swift or Kotlin.

I have followed https://areweideyet.com/ and picked Atom and it is far from what I would like. I will try to give another chance to Rust in half year and see if it improved. But I would suggest to look at Swift SourceKit h

I wish Rust team invested more into tooling and maybe introduced officially supported IDE because at the end tooling is more important than the language itself. Java is not the best language but it obvious choice for many people because of

If you use this API very often from Swift you can introduce nice wrapper around it. It would be better to see these issues by Apple but I think they are minor and Swift overweights with its benefits.

I am surprised nobody mentions stupidly smart AI. We can create AI that is capable of self-replicating very fast and fulfilling some goal. It could start with a noble idea to build a machine to recycle our garbage and use the garbage to bui

But Ruby is at least syntactically very powerful. Go feels like it was written to have fast parser but this they killed with the latest version.

It is no surprise, when one-product companies do other products they don't last for long. Only reason why I still use Dropbox is their client for Mac and and simple web interface and some other small features. I don't understand w

Apple is going actually in opposite way and you can see it with recent changes on iOS. To run apps on iPhone, you don't need to buy a developer licence for 100$ anymore. They support more extensions for apps. On last Apple keynote Micr

There is too many ifs and perhaps... stop speculating. If it was really good choice, they would already do it.

What would they gain at the end? I would leave their system and also many others. Thinking people would switch just to Apple products is naive.

Their ecosystem is powered by power users, who do you think is creating apps, games, design, books, videos and so on? If Apple forces to move these users out, they will probably focus on other platforms where they are not so restricted.

Of course, it is a horrible thing to happen. Just to give you some apps from my dock. Chrome, Spotify, Outlook, HipChat, Viber, Skype, SourceTree, Atom, Sketch, Dropbox. All these would be not be usable because they are not sandboxed. Basic
