Honestly, most of Infinite Jest is not like that. It's only like that when you're "in the head" of certain characters. But you have no idea what's going on in the book for the first 300 pages or so. It takes until

Yeah, I don't think this is quite right. I think the only real difference is whether you charge yourself up by spending time alone (with books or something) or spending time with other people. I'm talkative in meetings and enjoy

I would say that, at least in my neighborhood (Midtown), someone saying that would be absolutely shunned. I can't speak for all neighborhoods, but I've lived here for about 30 years and I have never ever heard someone say that in

I got my Brother MFC for around $50 with some clever rebate-stacking. It's an awesome little printer that plays very well with Linux. Highly recommended!

I just finished Creativity, Inc. and it was a pretty good look at how Pixar evolved. Also highly recommended.

Yeah, but I think other people are handling that. There was an article in the NYT about doing it ( http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/16/opinion/anti-trump-republi... ).

I have trouble with the quantum immortality theory because people normally die in the 75-90 years range, and it would be supremely weird for you to just keep living while those around you all died, since in our reality humans tend to have s

I feel like CBT can be counterproductive because it encourages you to ruminate on negative thoughts instead of just not thinking them. You have to examine them and put them into categories like "mindreading" or "catastrophiz

How about allowing us to pay to not see ads? I still enjoy using Facebook but I hate seeing ads. I'd pay a couple bucks a month to avoid them.

I use LastPass, but I'm still fearful about it. It's such a rich target, and all a hacker would really have to do is to intercept when you put your decryption key in and send it off to their own server. Then they'd have acc
