When I saw this change in the beta builds of Mavericks I submitted a bug report since the ability to change the power button's behavior was also removed from `pmset`. They responded with a "this was intentional." This is the

There are a few things I don't like about this homebrew-cask. My biggest issue currently, now that the installation path can be specified as /Applications instead of ~/Applications[0], is that it makes a symbolic link from it

I use CapsLock as escape but had I not gotten so used to that by now I would probably have used it for control instead and mapped escape to jk or something. I, like many people, use `,` for my <leader> and with Clever-F[0] I don'

Having just watched this video[0] of some of their work this stuff is just amazing. I can't wait to see what Google does with it. Also this is what makes Google such an awesome company from a computer science perspective IMO. [0]: htt

Disappointed that AMD and Intel graphics aren't supported yet. Didn't see that, installed, black screen after booting from Grub. Hopefully they'll release those versions soon.

The writing in this is absolutely gorgeous at this high-res. This feels like a weirdly futuristic way to preserve something like this. Would love to see this with the Dead Sea Scrolls (it took everything I had to not write the Elder Sea Scr

After install it didn't boot correctly on my Macbook Pro 7,1. Booted to grub but then black screen. Also note (as now stated in the official documentation) it wipes your hard drive for the initial install.

I think it'll just be because they have other things that are making them more money. Although it doesn't help that they have a reasonable competitor.

As a Campfire user this could be unfortunate. Although I'm not sure anyone can say they'd be surprised. The number of products they have shut down came up recently here[0]. Although based on the number of things they juggle I'

And that's the really scary part. Is that so many applications do this for just unreasonable permissions. Then you get one of the bad applications that's actually using that data for something nefarious and it destroys trust in th

I definitely get that. With automatic updates I bet that a lot of applications sit in that update queue on people's devices since they actually have to confirm the new permissions.

This is a major issue Google needs to deal with in Android IMO. I'm surprised that this feature ever existed in Android because of how coupled permissions are with applications. Since applications request all permissions on install I i

This looks pretty awesome, I use the responsive design features in Firefox all the time where you can view a single site in a variety of different resolutions. But seeing them side by side like this could make for a nice development process

Nice I really want to build one but I think I'd much rather buy the parts in a kit than separately. I saw this wooden case[0] in a tweet and I think I'd want to try my hand with that instead of the 3D printing. [0]: http:/&#

I've been looking to create a ErgoDox[0] which is a two part mechanical design. Not sure I could deal with the split layout but I'm willing to try. It looks pretty similar to the ones in this post and you build it yourself. [0]:

This is hilariously awesome. Personally I don't mind Vimscript (maybe that's since I've used AppleScript before) but I know that many people really don't like it. Also worth noting that this is half backed by Go[0]. [0]:

Personally I've found the reasons to jailbreak have decreased more and more over time. A perfect example for me is Control Center replacing what I used SBSettings for.

This is fantastic. Even with simple examples like `ls -la` it shows the documentation and other flag synonyms for all of the passed flags. Very impressed.
