No, but the parent to my comment implied trees as being the source of that fusion power. Nobody's going to be able to use trees to power the desalination plants that allow us to irrigate the land so that we can grow those trees.

That's because Java, like C#, makes it really painful to define a new type. When it takes huge amounts of boilerplate to define a new type to hold a piece of dumb data, of course nobody does it! In F# it's one line of code, so it&

Well, the situation is a bit better than you make out. Your parameters may be unnamed, but they should at least be typed . Cases like `Directory.Move : IDirectoryInfo -> IDirectoryInfo -> unit` are a bit of a pain to give unambiguous

F#'s async primitives are much more ergonomic than `Task` though. For example, cancellation is trivial to control with very little boilerplate, whereas `Task` requires boilerplate all over the place .

I've been finding Nix on macOS kind of addictive, although it seems really sad to run it in a VM as in the OP, when it works natively and the whole point is perfect side-by-side package compatibility! I literally just now finished hack

Finding packages is not the hard bit :P the hard bit is learning how to do anything. The Pills teach you how the language and "runtime" works, but nixpkgs is gargantuan and requires a whole lot of extra learning, as is home-manage

I would instead call this "vastly underestimating the complexity of physics". Again, protein folding is a tiny tiny subset of physics and is famously extremely computationally difficult.
