Back when Jobs was introducing one of the Mac OS X versions, there was a line that stuck with me. Showing off the pulsating buttons he said something like "we have these processors that can do billions of calculations of second, we mig

Apple is in a reasonably good place to make gaming work for them. Their hardware across the board is fairly powerful (definetly not top end), they have a good API stack especially with Metal. And they have systems at all levels including TV

I agree with you, I hope they quickly tweak this into something more readable. There could be a really nice mid ground here.

And I couldnt be happier to see it back. I have not been a fan of the flattening of UI design over the last 15 years.

I am not the brightest spark as it took me a few months of living in a heavily Jewish area to realise that the pedestrian traffics light were configured to run every cycle so they didn't have to press the button. Probably a lot more de

This is good advise to get behind. I do feel like a lot of the optimal dietary advice is far to hard lined and that a better path really is just whole foods in moderation.

While I wouldn't say "yeah I have SDAM" or whatever, yeah generally memory of life is a complete blur, always has been. You can still learn the lessons and make good in the world but not having to carry around a burden of tri

I cannot find the study at the moment (Google you used to be great at this!) but there was one seeing how diabetics blood sugar was impacted from just fruit consumption. Got to the point where even at 20 serves per day (4 times the recommen

Yep, the dietary recommendations have been consistent for decades at this point. Dairy, meat, sugars and excessive oils are not great for us. A little in moderation is fine, that is a lot lower than what most people think. But it isnt pushe

Personally it is a strange thing. Diffcult to do over 24 hours but easy over a few days. Once you get over the head space of "im hungry must eat!" It turns into "im hungry, oh well". But this is a sample size of 1 and re

My shoot from the hip, arm chair "expert" guess is that long term the government is already aware of a death spiral and is just spending like crazy to benefit them selves and the country by proxy in an odd way right up until a deb

Pretty much. For all the faults we can find with wind farms, they are still pretty dang useful.

Sounds like an idea that is technically sound but economically a dead end. Like harvesting lightening for electricity. It might not seem it locally but the energy is too defuse at a large scale.

That is a good question. Warm moist air is a known issue at some airports due to the loss in lift but that doesn't take into account wind speed. With wind turbines, I suspect additional wind speed due to additional energy would cancel
