Figures that something like this would be posted on my day off. I put this through a parser that I cover, and found that the only failures were for top-level scalars, which we don't support, and for things we accept that we shouldn&#x

It sucks that someone scammed David, but he needs to grow up and pursue legal options against the scammer and/or Upwork. Meanwhile, Michelle should get a lawyer to help her get control of the Upwork account, and to stop David's li

I've had an Aeron at home for ten years or so. Both of the arms have broken off. It actually seemed like an improvement, so I never got around to a warranty replacement. Arms aside, I'm not crazy about the chair. It's not

I work with an old DEC guy who co-wrote a book about the BLISS compiler back in the day. He thought it made a much better "portable assembly language" than C. He also likes to talk about the binary compatibility on VMS; e.g., VAX

As I see it, the main benefit of deterministic password generation is the convenience of not needing a password database. Indeed, if the scheme is simple and/or portable enough (e.g., PBKDF2) you can implement it from scratch in a min

The big takeaway for me is that first impressions matter. Although the bulk of the post is about hard-earned knowledge and workarounds for completely unreliable features, getting a proof of concept in twenty minutes sealed the deal.

My recollection is that TV manufacturers didn't even want to include digital tuners until the FCC required them to. Of course, that tuner isn't doing me any good now that the FCC allows Comcast to encrypt broadcast channels.
