I have always been skeptical about GTD (and haven't read the book). It seems very cultish. And apparently he just released a new version where he changes the terminology he uses for every concept, which sounds very confusing. On the ot

I love the weekly planner idea. Of all the to-do lists I've looked at, none of them seem to support that critical feature. Are there any other weekly planner apps like this?

There's a horrible web form on my property management's website. My landlord is awesome, but this part of the process is pretty bad. I'm a student living in a mostly-student apartment place. After submitting my address, unit

Looks really interesting. Will this be instant access, or will there be some sort of invite phase?

I can't find any reason to be optimistic after reading this article. Is there any reason to even consider moving to the Bay Area after graduating? It seems like any other city would be more manageable.

Is there an option to forward all of my mail to my gmail (preferably deleting the copy on pawnmail too)? This is an interesting idea. I was going to set up an email server on my VPS with just SMTP that auto-forwarded everything to my gmail.

Why does vicious competition exist in the mobile payment space? All these solutions only introduce a convenient middleman between the credit card and the physical store. Is there some sort of profit motive involved here, like fees off every

I'm surprised by the if chain one. I tried it using cremno's gcc.godbolt.org suggestion, and the newest gcc doesn't turn it into a jump table like the author suggests, but clang does. http://goo.gl/PgqAIs <

This is too bad. I used this for my journal entries, and it really helped me keep track of where my life was headed. I'll have to find an alternative method of journaling now. Does anyone know anything about the founders or how they tr

As an intern, I don't think this is true. I had an employer express an interest in me because Bootstrap showed that I was passionate about working on projects in my own time (since it isn't taught in schools). They also used it in

I do want to learn lots of different technologies, including PHP! That's part of the reason I read Hacker News in the first place. But I'm doubtful of its real-world application these days. Most news I see never mentions it, but Ruby and Py

One thing that turns me off of seriously pursuing a career at Facebook is PHP. I haven't learned PHP yet (and I'm only in college), but I've heard bad things about its design, and it seems to be overshadowed by Ruby and Python in my program
