At this point most of the reasons to buy a particular phone are inertial or emotional. A high end android phone and an iPhone both provide roughly the same functionality. I miss the times when new phones were more exciting.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a truly great game. It’s interesting to discuss how that may or may not be replicated. Still, we’ve been going through years of mediocre cash grab after mediocre cash grab. So many beloved franchises have been basically r

Firefox is maintained by paid employees. This is not the same thing. There is no talk of making this a paid only release anywhere. Please avoid strawmen.

Even the term "volunteer" implies too much responsibility. This is a project to which people contribute their time, for whatever personal reason motivates them. If they don't want to do a release ever again, or they don'

I have a friend with a business in a niche market. His business is driven almost entirely by ads place with google. He’s tried other platforms and had much worse results. Something must be working.

IMO using socket activation via systemd is a reasonable approach. I don't see any reason a non-service account should be running a service on port 80.

Looking at California's total water usage [1] I would guess we are somewhere around 40 MAF per year (I hope. That can't be per day right??). Based on the probably incorrect numbers above, that translates into around a 20 GW demand
