Its not bunk. People are comparing two widely different things and not understanding the difference. The price of $150 is capacity of a battery. If i want a battery that can store 4 kwh i pay $600. The other number referencing $55/MWh

How does the whitespace hurt readability when basically every styleguide and linter in other languages indents code blocks?

How much did you sleep before. I'm reading these kinds of threads and finding lots of similarities with my life. I generally sleep 10 hours a day and have trouble getting out of bed.

Huh? Natural Selection was insanely fun for me. Either as player or commander. Only reason i stopped playing was because the community shrank too much after a while. Most matches felt nicely balanced and enjoyable even if i lost.

Natural Selection 1/2 is literally this. Space Marines vs Aliens and you have a commander and can build building, research tech, etc.

This is kind of similar to what made Natural Selection 1/2 so fun as game. It was Space marines vs Aliens, but you also had a commander who could build a base and drop items. You had to defend resource extractors and advance your tech.

General Question for people who do these tiny projects, which might make some money. Do you register a company for this? How do you deal with taxes if you made a small amount of money from them?

I always wondered how hard it would be to have a simple inline feature for your editor to expand small function code on demand. 1. Statically for known function calls 2. For dynamic dispatch /pattern matching, run a test , record the

How can you offer these prices? a 2GB ram 1 cpu app costs $2.87 approxmately a month. Thats a way lower than any vps provider yet you offer a managed solution which should add to the cost.

My dream is to build some kind of app to actually give a resonable noise estimate of a place and warn against potential problems. I also struggle a lot with noise pollution. Shity neighbours, random building noises in the dead of night, Bus

atoms are containers that require no coordination so its a simple Compare and swap. There are Refs that require transactions and change of multiple Refs is coordinated in these transactions. WIth that Clojure has an implementation of Softwa

Creation of new versions of datastructures are done in log32(N) time in clojure. The performance even for frequent updates is fine.

"When a functional update on a child structure occurs, the mediator is updated with the reference to the new child. But all the parents still point at the same mediator". This is literally atoms in clojure.

Yeah his claims about good and bad are too unconditional and generic. He always looks at it from his specific vantage point and then declares something categorically bad which ticks me off cause its so dogmatic and lacking of contextuality.
