A lot of people are mentioning this was brought over from Android, but it reminds me the most of WebOS (Enyo, really). I've had my TouchPad longer than my Android tab, so I can't say whether this was common on Android first.

The biggest problem for me was that he didn't explain why the project needed $150k. From the (granted, simplistic) explanation, it sounded like something that could be built in Flash in a couple of months.

The biggest ding for me so far is lack of integration with Mint. That's probably done on the Mint side, but Simple has to know their customers strongly overlap and should be pushing hard for it.

The fact that they're 1-2 in the app store probably has more to do with the Instagram sale than any pent up demand for video sharing. It makes sense that they're both raising money--they've got to fund their massive UA campaigns.
